About Blablart
Blablart is a free website for the global art world and a social networking tool for art professionals. It is the result of the development of a new
concept of communication for the contemporary art world, developed by A. Lucas, M.Stocker and H. Tatay.
Blablart was launched in March 2008 and is owned by the private company Blart8. Blablart is a free tool that can help the different sectors of the art world make their information available to those that matter to them, through Blablart´s innovative content system that allows interaction at several levels. The site has five main sections: What’s On? – This is BlaBlart’s home page. It displays up-to-date information on exhibitions and events happening around the world. The page is organised into the following sections:
The Art World – The largest on-line directory of galleries, museums, art fairs, biennials, etc. Users can perform searches based on different criteria (name, city, etc). Listings are organised by country and city. A distinctive feature of the search facility is that it will enable users to find out about art events going on in each place. Who’s On? – This section is a social network for the art world. All the listings in the ‘Art World’ directory are also members of the social network. It includes collectors, artists, curators, photographers and other art professionals. Talk Art – An online video tool that gives everyone an opportunity to express their point of view and engage in discussions about art. Curators and art critics will be invited to take part in discussions. Performing Arts - The place for Performing Artists to display their work, contacts and announce their venues. |
